Reese Witherspoon’s Book Club

This year I discovered Reese Witherspoons Book Club. When I first heard of it I have to admit that I was fairly sceptical as I don’t really do celebrity endorsements. Then I read ‘Daisy Jones and the Six’ (not because it was on the list but because the cover was so cool!) and then I read ‘Where the Crawdads Sing’ because I kept seeing it everywhere. That’s when I decided to look up Reese’s book club picks because those two books have been two of my top reads of the year!

It turns out that Reese’s book club is devoted to promoting female authors! Run by Media company Hello Sunshine, Reese’s book club is pushing female empowerment and I love the about me section on Hello Sunshine’s page that simply says they are about celebrating women:

“Founded by Reese Witherspoon, we’re a media brand anchored in storytelling, creating and discovering content that celebrates women and puts them at the center of the story.   We tell stories big and small, funny stories, complex stories, those that shine a light on where women are at right now and those that help chart a new path forward.”

I have to say I have loved every choice I have read so far and I have bought another eight of the books purely because they are on the list!

Here are a few of the ones I have read so far…
