This was different to anything else I have read and I loved it!

This is a spoof crime thriller. Marco Ocram, the narrator, is a successful author who can write what actually happens next. The reader then reads what the writer is asking himself about what the next action is going to be. It sounds complex but is completely simple and funny to follow from the first page.

I really enjoyed that the author was constantly talking to you, the reader, as it made the jokes feel more humorous and gave me a stronger link to him as a character.

This book has enormous fun with literary terms and the publishing industry and is a joy to read. The paperback edition is on £2.10* on Amazon, I urge you to grab your copy!

My only gripe is that this is clearly the second book in the series, the first book, a spoof of “The Truth about the Harry Quebert Affair” is called “The Awful Truth About the Herbert Quarry Affair”, (it is mentioned in this book) but I cannot find it anywhere !!!! I would love to read how the characters came to be and feel like I would have got into the flow quicker had I been able to read book one first. Tiny Fox or Denis Haughnessy if you read this please, please tell me where I can buy it from!

Marco Ocram is the world’s first self-written author-cum-protagonist. First imagined in 2015, he has gone on to infect the world of literature with two awful anti-thrillers which subvert the tropes of mainstream fiction. Heavily dosed with nuanced intertextuality, the books make little literal sense, and will strike you either as hilarious spoofs or utter nonsense, depending upon your taste in such matters.
